Poetry and Lyrics

 Passion of Cloud:

Qui sunt hi
Qui ut nubes
Qui sunt hi ut nubes
pluma cecedit
silenta
spiritus
levavit
qui sunt hi
ut nubes

who are you that comes like cloud
lifted up with body down
silent feather on the ground
brought me to my joy

rise into your music
moves like cloud
moves like water
brought me to my joy

who are you that comes like cloud
lifted up while kneeling down
blossoms falling to the ground
blossoms falling all around

waves are light
and light is sound
here your Love
flooded my house

I hear
what you said
what you said
the birds fly out
my open mouth
love come down
love come down
as promised

Green Little Things:

Underneath the snow

This heavy blanket

Waves of rainbow color are waiting

Twisting rising

Exhaling

Into throngs of green little things

Green little things, these green little things

Little green things

Become taller

Deeper, colorful green little things

Underneath the snow

This heavy blanket

That’s been weighing them down all this time

Tucked into sleep, these green little things

Tucked in and sleeping, these green little things

Children of the past

Spring children of the future

Spilling into the world with rain puddles

Little living things

Become taller, deeper wiser green little things

Spilling into the world

these green little things

children, our children

Our green living things

Underneath the snow

This heavy blanket

Awaits the choir of spring

Just because we can’t see the flowers

doesn’t mean we can’t hear them sing

Listening deep to this blanket of snow

Hearing them sing

These green living things

Standing on Serpents:

Born

Into flesh

First light of Earth

Breath, sweet breath

And all things we touch

And our eyes

Can see

The beauty of Earth

So we crawl to rise

To our feet

Born into flesh

First light of Earth

Lost, we forget

Our place in the stars

And our eyes

Can’t see

The beauty of earth

Bow low

To rise

To Her feet

Bow low

To rise

To Her feet

(enter serpent)

I hear you still calling

A slight of hand

so clear to me

My love, it only rises

You whisper straight to me

And try to steal my love away

But I know you now, I know you now

I stand on

The heads of

Serpents

Ascending, rising

Above all your demons

Like those that would cling to His resurrecting body.

Your power—

It weakens in me.

Where to Find God:

And I found you blowing in the breeze

And I found you singing through the trees

And I found you there inside a flower

And I found you weeping in the corner

And I found you there in the prison cell

And I found you rising with the sun

And I found you as he beat my body

And I found you as I birth my baby

There is nowhere

That you are not

There in the darkness

There in the light

There is nowhere

That you are not

Even in darkness

Is where we find God

And I found you writing with my pen

And I found you when I had nothing left

And I found you when I had too much

And I found you where nothing else could touch

And I found you sleeping in the street

And I found you seated on a throne

And I found you screaming at the sky

And I found you broken asking why

And I found you crawling on my knees

There in the darkness

There in the light

Even in darkness

Even in light

Even in darkness

Even in light

And I found you staring in the mirror

And I found you looking at another

And I found you there inside a flower

And I found you weeping in the corner

There is nowhere

That you are not

There in the darkness, there in the light

There is nowhere

That you are not

Even in darkness is where we find God.

Deity Waltz:

Always floating up

Up above the world

Hanging onto

Prayer and deities

Like they are some kind of

Hot air balloon

Carrying our burdens

Like passengers on a train

But we must endure all of our own pain

As we contemplate the stars we wish on

And seek to refine our diamond

If we are to know anything at all

Hanging on

to threads of Mother Tara

Purest mother

Of clouds, staring down

But have you

Ever walked in my shoes

With all your eyes

And you born of tears

You hear and see but cannot touch

Our souls find their own way through Samsara

Your right foot on the ground spurs us to effort

Oh your flowers, cling not to worldly

pleasures

Oh, Hanuman

Son of the Wind

I don’t know anything

But I remember you

Can you remember

To help me not forgot

All that is possible with love in my heart

A dusty mirror, I forget who I am

But you leapt all the way across the ocean

And tore your chest all the way open

To reveal the name of Ram

Sita Ram

Floating up

Through a universe of stars

All this vast empty space feels so cold

Find a little warmth in the countenance of Saints

The love you offer, my head on your chest

My tears laid down at your feet

Weeping through the trinity of Mary

Touching the bloody thorn on his crown

Came as a child, like me

From a mother

Like me, like me.
